Dr. Farkas is a native Houstonian and founded Northshore Dental in 2001. He graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston, Texas and completed a residency certificate program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Dr. Farkas grew up in the area and has been practicing dentistry in our Northshore community for more than twenty years. He continually researches and implements available technologies and services for optimum patient dental health.
Dr. Farkas has been married for over twenty years to his wife Karen, who is not only his high school sweetheart, but also the architect and builder of Northshore Dental and Evanston Court complex. More recently, she brings her skill and experience as our Director of Mission. When not working, this duo enjoys world-wide travel, great food and wine with a dash of architectural site seeing for good measure. As life-long athletes, they both participate in competitive masters swimming.
Alexandria garza, DDS
Dr. Alexandria Garza grew up in the small town of Elsa, Texas where she was valedictorian of her high school class. In search of a way to connect and serve the community, she moved from the small town to the big city of Houston. She attended Rice University where she earned her bachelors degree in biological science in 2010. After discovering her love for dentistry and healthcare, she went on to complete her doctorate education at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston in 2014. While she enjoys practicing all facets of dentistry, she especially loves meeting new patients and does her best to individualize treatment to help them find their healthiest and happiest smiles.
Dr. Garza stays close to her hometown southern roots by volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and mentoring students at Spring Spirit community center. You might also catch her browsing through vinyl stores or at an outdoor concert when the weather is nice!
Dr. Arthur Jeske is currently Professor in the Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health and Associate Dean for Strategic Planning & Continuing Dental Education at the UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Jeske received his B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and his Ph.D. (Pharmacology) and D.M.D. degrees from the Medical College of Georgia. He is Editor-in-Chief of Mosby’s Dental Drug Reference and serves as Section Editor (Pharmacology), Cranio—The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice. Dr. Jeske is Coordinating Editor of Oakstone Publishing’s Practical Reviews in General Dentistry and an ADA Evidence Reviewer for the American Dental Association’s Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry.
He holds Fellowship in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is past Editor of the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Texas Dental Journal and is a consultant to the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs. His honors include membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Delta Sigma Delta, Honorary Membership in the UTDB Alumni Association, and he is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Jeske has been in the part-time practice of general dentistry for over 30 years.
Namrata singh, DDS
Dr. Singh is a native Texan. She was born in Dallas and soon moved to Houston where she attended high school in the Northwest side of Houston. After graduation from high school, she attended The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her B.B.A. at the McCombs School of Business. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she packed her bags, and moved to the Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry to fulfill her dreams to become a dentist! During this time she cultivated her love for dentistry and was excited to move back to her hometown of Houston, Texas to serve the community dear to her heart.
Her dental experience includes a passion for cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, dental implants, and sleep apnea. She is a Fellow and member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Recently married, she and her husband enjoy traveling, a good cafe latte, and spending time with their family; especially their niece! While having a conversation with Dr Singh, people recognize her sincerely relatable demeanor and focus on patient education. She believes in continually improving and setting goals in her personal and professional life with a focus on quality of patient care.
