Dr. Farkas is a native Houstonian and founded Northshore Dental in 2001. He graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston, Texas and completed a residency certificate program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Dr. Farkas grew up in the area and has been practicing dentistry in our Northshore community for more than twenty years. He continually researches and implements available technologies and services for optimum patient dental health.
Dr. Farkas has been married for over twenty years to his wife Karen, who is not only his high school sweetheart, but also the architect and builder of Northshore Dental and Evanston Court complex. More recently, she brings her skill and experience as our Director of Mission. When not working, this duo enjoys world-wide travel, great food and wine with a dash of architectural site seeing for good measure. As life-long athletes, they both participate in competitive masters swimming.
Namrata singh, DDS
Join us in welcoming Dr. Namrata Singh to our dental family! She graduated in 2009 from the University of Texas and completed her doctorate training at the University of Southern California, Ostrow School of Dentistry. Her experience includes a passion for cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and sleep apnea treatment. As a newlywed, see her beautiful honeymoon smile pictured above with husband Rahul, a doctor of preventative medicine for the space program. ANDrea Varesic, DDS
Dr. Andrea Varesic is a Periodontist Specialist. Dr. Andréa Varesic was born in Croatia and has spent most of her life in the Houston area. After graduating from Naperville North High School in 1986, she attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. While in college, she was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
Dr. Varesic graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston—Dental Branch (UTHSC) with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1994. While in dental school, Dr. Varesic tutored students in basic and dental sciences. She was honored as a freshman by Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society (OKU) and initiated into the society in her senior year for having maintained her academic top 10% status. The Academy of Operative Dentistry also awarded her their outstanding student award. In 1997 Dr. Varesic completed her three year residency in Periodontics receiving a specialty certificate and a Master’s of Science degree from UTHSC. Her research was in molecular biology in association with MD Anderson Hospital. Currently she is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Varesic works with Drs. Farkas, Jeske and Singh, providing specialty periodontal care to their patients. Dr. Varesic and her husband, Richard, reside in Clear Lake with their two sons, Cooper and Bodie. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and playing on the beach in Galveston, where they have a beach house.
Dr. Arthur Jeske is currently Professor in the Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health and Associate Dean for Strategic Planning & Continuing Dental Education at the UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Jeske received his B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and his Ph.D. (Pharmacology) and D.M.D. degrees from the Medical College of Georgia. He is Editor-in-Chief of Mosby’s Dental Drug Reference and serves as Section Editor (Pharmacology), Cranio—The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice. Dr. Jeske is Coordinating Editor of Oakstone Publishing’s Practical Reviews in General Dentistry and an ADA Evidence Reviewer for the American Dental Association’s Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry.
He holds Fellowship in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is past Editor of the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Texas Dental Journal and is a consultant to the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs. His honors include membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Delta Sigma Delta, Honorary Membership in the UTDB Alumni Association, and he is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Jeske has been in the part-time practice of general dentistry for over 30 years.
